Features of Assessment Studio

Discover the future-proof potentials

Assessment Studio is a tool family for the automatic assessment of documents, models and information within databases, appliable in the entire developing process. The innovation of this product-range is the cross-platform assessment of data, in regards to e.g. consistency and compliance. Starting with required documents and behaviour-, simulation- and software-models, all the way to the test specification. Assessment Studio allows a standard-compliant process of securing quality (Quality Chain), across tools or tool-specificically customized (as a plug-in or server, e.g.).

Rule-based assessment

  • Automatic check of all XML-data or SQL-databases
  • Tool-specific data is converted into XML-standard while checking
  • Databases: Gathers additional data from databases for the check
  • Multiple documents: a dynamic checking across various documents is made possible
  • Exceptions: commenting on elements, that are not to be checked
  • Error-tracing (highlighting): allows an instant tracing of errors in tools/data
  • Cross-tool: accomplishes a comprehensive check of various artefacts
  • Even at night-time, the server-version reliably checks much quantitive data

Rule-based transformation

  • Data filter: preparation of the data that is to be checked, before the actual check
  • Linking: collecting of logically linked fragments before the check
  • Partitioning: Dividing the data in partitions prior to the check
  • Abstraction: tool-independent application of a guideline concerning various artefacts
  • Auto correction: automatic improvement of the assessed data after the check

Automatic reporting

  • Dynamic report: generated documentation of the check’s results
  • Reporthead (checker, time, department), statistic summary, content
  • Export of the report for archiving in PDF and HTML, loading of past checks
  • Statistics: statistic assessment of the data, based on metrics or error-categories
  • Trend analysis: comparing of checks over time
  • Histories: archive with check reports for posterior analysis purposes (audit-trails)
  • Comments: user-specific comments regarding a check or the exceptions (ignore-list)

Integrated developing environment

  • Editor: convenient editor with syntax-highlighting
  • IntelliSense as a tool for automatic completion of rules
  • Debugger: debug-information regarding the development of guideline expressions
  • Multi-scripting: support of various rule- and scripting languages (e.g. C#, LINQ, M-Script, DXL-Script, SQL)
  • Library: building of a test-library and simplified maintenance through module-function
  • Parameterization: dynamic configuration of a guideline
  • Global variables: application of global check-results in rules

Management of different rule-catalogues

  • Creation of check-catalogues: building up hierarchic guideline-catalogues, regarding projects, processes or tools
  • Template of rules: embedding of pre-defined rule-models
  • Guideline-documentation (HTML): web-based presentation of the guidelines
  • Customized design-options of the program content and the check-report by Stylesheet-functions (CSS)
  • Configuration: Easy setting of the guidelines and error-category
  • Dynamic embedding of static data-definitions, e.g. glossaries, result tables (standards, norms)
  • Ignore-lists: Convenient definition of data, that is not to be checked (exclusion)

Program Environment

  • Local or centrally includable rule-catalogues in the network
  • As client: executable on any notebook or PC with Windows
  • As batch: script-sided integration and execution without graphic surface
  • As server: server-based and scheduled check of artefacts in the background
  • Email notification: notification about the check and the check-results via e-mail (server)
  • Workflow (pre-/post-conditions): logical linking of the checking process (order, priorities, etc.)
  • Extensibility (tool-adapter): connection to the respective tool in use, or the integration in the IT-infrastructure
